Treatment method when the temperature of the screw air compressor is too high
The problem of excessive temperature of the screw air compressor can be solved from the following eight aspects:
- An environment with poor ventilation and heat dissipation. There are three main situations where the surrounding environment affects the heat dissipation of the screw air compressor: (1) It is too close to obstacles such as walls; (2) There are other heat sources near the air compressor; (3) When the air compressor is running, the front door and side door are open, and the fan Strong convection cannot be formed.
- The radiator is blocked. When the screw air compressor works in a dusty environment, long-term operation will cause a layer of dust or sludge to adhere to the surface of the radiator, and the internal copper pipes will also be blocked due to the accumulation of grease, which will affect the cooling effect of the air compressor.
- The oil filter is too dirty. Some air compressors have three side-by-side oil filters. When the oil filter is too dirty, the resistance oil cannot enter the compressor with normal flow, and the compressor will heat up rapidly due to insufficient cooling lubricating oil. When the oil pressure difference between inlet and outlet exceeds 0.18MPa, the filter element needs to be replaced.
- The cooling oil level is too low. When checking the cold machine, if the oil level is lower than the lower end of the inspection tube, it should be replenished immediately.
- The oil grade is low or the oil quality is poor. Our screw air compressors use the manufacturer’s special compressor oil. When other low-grade or inferior oil is used, the viscosity and specific heat will not meet the standard and the temperature will be too high.
- The fan tape is broken or loose. When the adhesive tape breaks, the screw air compressor will stop automatically due to high temperature after running for about 5 minutes. If the adhesive tape is too loose, it will slip and reduce the fan speed, which will affect the heat dissipation. At this time, the fan should be replaced or adjusted. The tightness of the tape.
- The oil cut-off valve is out of order. There is an oil cut-off valve between the oil filter and the compressor. If the oil cut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature will rise rapidly after the compressor is started due to no oil lubrication and cooling. Automatic shutdown. If you remove the temperature plug at the exhaust end of the main unit of the compressor, you will find that the plug is dry and free of oil, and you will also find that there is blue smoke floating out of the hole. At this time, open the inspection hole at the bottom of the air compressor, remove the oil cut-off valve, and gently move the valve stem inside with your fingers to see if it can be pushed back and forth or can be easily reset. If it is found that it is difficult to move or return, it is necessary to further disassemble the oil cut-off valve. If there is grease on the valve stem or valve hole, it needs to be polished with fine sandpaper until they can slide easily; if the spring is broken or there is foreign matter jammed, it will also affect the movement of the valve stem. At this time, it is necessary to replace the spring or clean the spring and the spring seat.
- The filter element of the oil-gas separator is too dirty. When it is too dirty, the oil circulation is affected due to excessive resistance, causing overheating and shutdown. This situation should be judged from the oil pressure difference before and after loading. When the pressure difference between the two ends is 3 times that at the beginning of the startup or the maximum pressure difference reaches 0.1MPa, it should be cleaned or replaced.
