The relationship between air compressor and temperature
When the ambient temperature and oil temperature are high or low, the compressor has the following effects:
- When the temperature of the lubricating oil is too high, the viscosity of the oil will be reduced and the oil pressure will be reduced, which will affect the lubrication performance.
- If the temperature is too high, the bearing will burn out, and the bearing bush will not even be able to continue to run.
- The temperature of the air compressor cylinder is too high, which will cause the lubricating oil in the gas cutting and piston ring to coke, lose the lubrication effect, and cause explosion danger when encountering sparks. At the same time, the piston ring, gas cutting, packing and other parts will not work well. Increased wear, poor sealing.
- If the gas temperature is too high during the air compressor process, it will increase power consumption and reduce production efficiency.
- Overheating of other parts of the air compressor will reduce the mechanical strength or even deform it.
- If the air compressor sucks the air temperature too high, the exhaust volume will be reduced.
- If the cooling water temperature of the air compressor is too high, the cooling effect will be reduced.
- If the temperature of the electric motor and internal combustion engine is too high, there will be a danger of burning.
However, the temperature should not be too low. If the cooling water temperature is lower than 0 degrees, it will freeze and affect the circulation of the cooling water, or even freeze the machine. If the temperature of the lubricating oil is too low, the viscosity of the oil will increase and the lubrication will be hindered. If the temperature is too low, the internal combustion engine is not easy to start and so on. Therefore, we judge whether the compressor is working normally from the change of temperature, and control the temperature of each place within the specified range to maintain the normal operation of the equipment. This is an important link that compressor operators should master.
