The screw air compressor head is rusted and stuck
- Our atmosphere contains water vapor, which is what we usually call humidity. The water will enter the screw air compressor together with the atmosphere.
- When the screw air compressor is running, the dew point of the compressed air will decrease as the pressure rises, but at the same time the compression process will also generate a lot of compression heat. The oil temperature of the compressor in normal operation is designed to be above 80°C, so that the heat of compression will volatilize the moisture in the air into a gaseous state, and discharge it to the rear end with the compressed air.
- If the type of air compressor is too large, or the user’s air consumption is extremely small, the operating load rate of the screw machine is seriously low, which will cause the oil temperature to not reach above 80°C for a long time, or even lower than the dew point. At this time, the moisture in the compressed air will condense into a liquid state and remain inside the air compressor, mixing with the lubricating oil. At this time, the load on the oil filter and oil separation core will increase and fail quickly. In severe cases, the oil will deteriorate and emulsify, causing the rotor of the main engine to rust and get stuck.
In the following situations, pay special attention to whether the air compressor is flooded:
- During the trial production stage of the factory, the production capacity is not fully developed.
- The weather has high humidity and humid environment, such as the Huangmei rainy season in the south of the Yangtze River.
- The loading rate of the unit is continuously lower than 30%.
solution:
- When selecting the equipment, please ask the personnel to select the air compressor unit with the appropriate power.
- When the gas consumption is small or the weather is humid, the screw machine is shut down for 6 hours and then the condensed water in the oil and gas barrel is drained until the oil flows out. (Need to discharge regularly, how often to discharge depends on the environment in which the screw machine is used)
- For air-cooled units, the fan temperature switch and heat dissipation can be adjusted appropriately to increase the oil temperature; for water-cooled units, the cooling water intake can be properly adjusted to ensure the oil temperature of the air compressor. For frequency conversion units, the operating frequency can be appropriately increased to increase the machine speed and increase the operating load.
- Users with extremely small gas consumption should properly discharge the pressure of the back-end gas storage tank on a regular basis, and artificially increase the operating load of the machine.
- Use lubricating oil, which has good oil-water separation and is not easy to emulsify. Check the oil level before each start-up to see if there is any abnormal rise or oil emulsification.
