1. Causes of oil leakage in air compressors

Air compressor oil leakage is generally caused by the following reasons: 1. The belt is installed too tightly, causing the main bearing bush to wear; 2. The main shaft is loose, causing the oil seal to leak; 3. The oil seal falls off or is defective, causing oil leakage; 4. The joint surface leaks, The joints of the oil inlet and return pipes are loose; 5. Process defects during casting or processing can also cause oil leakage in the air compressor.

2. Judgment and Solutions for Air Compressor Oil Leakage

If the air compressor leaks oil, first pay attention to the oil seal and check whether there are cracks in the oil seal and whether the inner lip is cracked or flanged. If any of the above conditions occur, it should be replaced; check whether there are scratches and defects on the joint surface of the oil seal and the main shaft. If there are scratches and defects, replace them. Check whether the oil return is smooth. Poor oil return will cause the crankcase pressure to be too high, causing the oil seal to leak or fall off. You must ensure that the oil return pipe has a minimum diameter, is not twisted or bent, and that the oil return is smooth. Check the matching dimensions of the oil seal and box body, and replace any that do not meet the standards. Secondly, you can move the spindle with force to check whether the neck clearance is too large. If the clearance is too large, the bearing bush and oil seal should be replaced at the same time.

Check the sealing condition of the gaskets at each joint, repair or replace the gaskets; check and tighten the bolts of the oil inlet and return joints and the box threads. If the air compressor leaks oil, you can also check and readjust the belt tightness. It is advisable to press 10 mm with your thumb. It is best to confirm whether there are defects in the casting or processing of the box and repair or replace the defective parts.
