How to correctly troubleshoot air compressor faults

When using an air compressor to work, the compressor suddenly experiences abnormal noises, shutdowns, and other malfunctions, but mistakenly believes it is a quality issue with the compressor machine. In fact, many of these malfunctions are caused by improper operation by personnel. Below, we will introduce several common air compressor faults and their solutions.

1. Solution to high exhaust temperature of the unit: the oil cooler is too dirty, use cleaning agents to remove oil scale; The oil filter core is blocked and needs to be replaced; Fan motor malfunction; The cooling fan is damaged; Temperature sensor malfunction; Blocked exhaust ducts or high exhaust back force.

2. Solution to excessive oil consumption: Check whether the oil level in the oil tank is too high, whether it is discharged from the pressure relief valve, whether the secondary oil pipeline is blocked, clean the return oil pipe, and check whether the return oil one-way valve is damaged.

3. The compressor does not start smoothly and automatically stops after starting to solve the problem: check whether the automatic air switch is stable and does not automatically jump, and whether the voltage is normal; Check if the closing degree of the intake butterfly valve is normal, readjust or replace it; Check if the contactor and motor three-phase are normal during Y-△ startup.

4. Oil filter blockage solution: Check if there are too many impurities in the lubricating oil or replace the air filter; Check for dust, corrosive materials, paint film, and sludge in the system.

5. Frequent resolution of air filter blockage: Check if the air filter is not suitable for the environmental conditions; The intake valve is not opened or closed according to the required air volume.

6. Solution for abnormal opening of safety valve: Check if the pressure setting value is incorrect, readjust the pressure value to obtain the correct pressure relief range; Check if the intake valve is closed as required; Regular verification is required to ensure that the safety valve is in the correct pressure setting position. If there is any leakage, please replace it.

7. The compressor cannot be started to solve the problem: Check for control voltage. If not, check if the fuse is intact, and check if the control relay and time relay are running normally.
