What is the reason for the oil leakage of the air compressor?

1. The oil seal of the air compressor falls off or the oil seal is defective (such as wear and tear, etc.) causing oil leakage.

2. The main shaft of the air compressor is loose and the oil seal leaks.

3. The joint surface of the air compressor head leaks, and the joints of the oil inlet pipe and oil return pipe are loose.

4. During the installation process of the air compressor, the belt is installed too tightly, which leads to the wear of the main bearing bush.

5. The casting or processing is not beautiful during the production process of the air compressor.

Let’s compare the five possible reasons to analyze the solution:

1. Check the oil seal part of the air compressor to confirm whether the oil seal is cracked, whether the inner lip is cracked or turned over. If there is one of the above conditions, it should be replaced; check whether there are scratches and defects on the joint surface of the oil seal and the main shaft, and if there are scratches and defects, it should be replaced. Secondly, check whether the oil return is smooth. If the oil return is not smooth, the pressure of the crankcase is too high and the oil seal leaks or falls off. Ensure that the oil return pipe has a minimum diameter and is not twisted or bent, and the oil return is smooth. Check the matching dimensions of the oil seal and the box, and replace those that do not meet the standards.

2. Move the main shaft forcefully to check whether the neck gap is too large. If the gap is too large, replace the bearing bush and oil seal at the same time. As for how large the gap is too large, each brand is different, and the gap of Fidelity is generally about 1 cm. No.

3. Check the sealing condition of the gaskets of the joints of the air compressor, repair or replace the gaskets; check whether the bolts of the inlet and outlet joints and the threads of the box are loose, and ensure that they are not loose. The working environment of some air compressors may be relatively harsh, and the upper and lower parts of the fuselage may be covered with oil. This requires our air compressor maintenance masters to work hard and clean the whole body of the air compressor first.

4. Check and re-adjust the tightness of the whole belt of the air compressor head. It is advisable to press down 10 mm with the thumb, and adjust if it is too large or too small.

5. Check the defects in the casting or processing of the box of the air compressor (such as whether the oil return hole at the box installation is unblocked), repair or replace the defective parts, and see if they have not been severely impacted.
