How to solve the problem of air compressor tripping caused by starting under pressure?
Generally speaking, air compressor tripping refers to the shutdown of the air compressor caused by the compressor being overloaded and the protector disconnected. There are many reasons for air compressor overload, such as starting under pressure. This article will take you to understand why starting under pressure will cause the air compressor to trip and how to solve it?
- Start under pressure
When the air compressor starts, there is still a high pressure inside the air compressor. This situation is called the air compressor starting with pressure. The reason why pressure still exists after the air compressor system stops working is mainly due to the failure of the minimum pressure valve or the blockage of the pressure relief system. Generally, when an air compressor is shut down, it will be required to vent the internal pressure of the machine. If the pressure is not drained, the motor will be overloaded and the protector will be disconnected when it is started again.
- How to judge and solve
To determine whether the air compressor shut down due to pressure startup, you can open the pressure relief devices and valves in the system. When you open the pressure relief valve and find that the pressure gauge in the oil and gas barrel still shows pressure, it is judged that the system has no pressure because the pressure gauge cannot be reset to zero; otherwise, the system is pressurized. Another method is to check the pressure gauge on site to show that there is pressure. Generally, there are two possibilities: one is that there is indeed pressure in the system; the other is that the pressure gauge is damaged and cannot return to zero normally. You can also check the pressure gauge on the oil and gas barrel of the air compressor. If it shows pressure, you can initially judge that there is still pressure in the system. This causes the air compressor to start under pressure and trip.
Therefore, when starting the air compressor, extra attention should be paid to whether the pressure inside the air compressor is normal to avoid accidents when the air compressor is started.
