Precautions for starting air compressor in winter !

Note the following points:

1. Before starting the air compressor, ensure that the oil temperature of the air compressor is not lower than 5°C. If the temperature is too low, please use a heating device to heat the oil separator and the main engine.

2. Check that the oil level is at the normal position, check that all condensate drains are closed, and for water-cooled units, also check that the cooling water drains are closed.

3. Turn the main engine coupling by hand to rotate flexibly. For units that are difficult to turn, please do not start the machine blindly. You should check whether the main engine is faulty and whether the lubricating oil is viscous and invalid, and then start the machine after troubleshooting.

4. The air compressor with a long shutdown time should be replaced with a new oil filter before the first start to reduce the resistance caused by oil viscosity and insufficient oil supply.

5. Jog the unit once when power is turned on for the first time. After the official start-up, check the current and oil temperature changes. If there is a sudden change in temperature, please stop immediately. For units that use heat recovery, the oil bypass valve on the heat recovery system should be closed before starting up, and the heat recovery system should be slowly opened after the unit’s normal opening temperature rises to the normal range.

6. For the unit with sudden temperature change or high temperature trip, remember not to start it repeatedly. You should open the intake valve, fill the main engine with an appropriate amount of lubricating oil, turn the main engine flexibly and then turn it on again.

Special attention for water-lubricated air compressors: if the ambient temperature is close to 0 degrees and freezes, it will cause the lubricating water in the oil-free water-lubricated air compressor to freeze. As a result, the main engine is stuck due to lack of water. Remind everyone to control the ambient temperature of the air compressor above 0°C, jog 2-3 times correctly when starting up, and let the lubricating water circulate to prevent the high temperature of the air compressor when it is running. Remember! ! !

Another reminder: Be sure to drain the accumulated water in the gas storage tank and pipes before leaving get off work, otherwise the valves and pipes may be frozen and cracked, avoiding losses to everyone! ! ! If the air compressor needs to be stopped for a period of time, drain the lubricating water in the water and air barrel and radiator. When the air compressor is out of service for a period of time or the ambient temperature is close to 0°C and freezes, do not press to start the air compressor directly. You must wait until the ice melts, drain and replenish water, then add 3-5 liters of pure water to the air inlet, and Rotate the air compressor several times so that the air compressor can be lubricated before starting.
