  1. The gap increases.

 

  • ① The distance between the male and female rotors of the main engine increases. The direct consequence is that the compressor leaks (ie, back leakage) increases during the compression process, and the volume of compressed air discharged from the machine becomes smaller. In terms of efficiency, the compression efficiency of the compressor is reduced.
  • ② The increase of the gap between the male and female rotors, the rear end cover and the bearing will mainly affect the sealing and compression efficiency of the compressor, and at the same time have a great impact on the service life of the male and female rotors, because the initial cause of many mechanical failures is It is caused by the gap between the bearing and the main shaft.

 

  1. Increased wear. As we all know, as long as the machine is running, there will be wear and tear. Under normal circumstances, the wear will be reduced a lot because of the lubricating fluid, but the wear will gradually increase after long-term high-speed operation. Take Swedish SKF bearings as an example: under near-impossible conditions (such as long-term idling, lubricating fluid is clean enough, cooling system is good enough, and ambient temperature, humidity, etc.), it can only be guaranteed for several years. As far as the main engine of the compressor is concerned, there are wear and tear of other parts besides the bearing. If the correct measures are not taken for minor wear, it will easily lead to increased wear, damage and wear of other major components.

 

  1. Parts are deformed. The main unit of the air compressor is the core compression part of the compressor. Its internal components have been exposed to high temperature and high pressure for a long time, coupled with high-speed operation, there will inevitably be deformation of the components over time. At the same time, the cause of deformation is also the use of environmental factors, and the air in the environment where air compressors are generally used will have dust and impurities. After these fine solid substances enter the machine, if they accumulate into larger solid blocks over time, It may cause the deformation of the male and female rotors, increase the gap, and seriously cause the main engine to be stuck.

 

  1. Parts are damaged. The vulnerable parts in the main part of the air compressor mainly include: various gaskets, sealing rings, shaft oil seals, etc., especially the shaft oil seal, which has been exposed to high temperature, high pressure, and high-speed operation for a long time, and its service life is greatly shortened. The direct consequence of its damage is the oil leakage of the compressor. If it is not found in time, it will cause the male and female rotors and bearings to burn due to lack of lubrication. Conventional air compressor overhaul is to a large extent the overhaul of bearings and rotating parts, the main thing is to replace the corresponding bearings and seals, and the overhauled compressor head can also achieve the effect of being close to the new machine. Of course, the premise of maintenance is that the compressor itself has no faults, and the rotor and the inner cavity of the casing have no obvious wear.
